1. About this policy

1.1 This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using The Chamber (https://thechambergame.uk). It forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service.

1.2 By using the Service, you agree to follow this AUP.

2. Permitted use

2.1 You may use the Service for your own personal, lawful entertainment, in line with the Terms of Service and your subscription (where applicable).

2.2 You may play Session 1 free of charge, and Sessions 2 to 12 with an active paid subscription.

3. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

3.1 use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that breaches any applicable law or regulation;

3.2 attempt to bypass, disable, or defeat the paywall, subscription checks, authentication, or any other access controls, or access paid content without a valid subscription;

3.3 use automated means, including bots, scrapers, crawlers or scripts, to access, harvest, copy or extract content or data from the Service, except as we expressly permit;

3.4 resell, sublicense, rent, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service or your account, or share your account with others;

3.5 copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service or its content, except as permitted by the Terms of Service or by law;

3.6 reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service, or attempt to derive its source code, except to the limited extent the law allows this and that right cannot be excluded;

3.7 abuse, overload, or make excessive or automated use of the AI generation features, including attempting to use them at a volume or in a manner inconsistent with normal personal gameplay, or in breach of any fair-use limits we apply;

3.8 attempt to manipulate the AI to produce content that is unlawful, that infringes others' rights, or that is designed to harass, defame, or harm a real, identifiable person;

3.9 introduce malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems, or interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the Service or its infrastructure (including Supabase, Stripe, Anthropic, Vercel and our analytics provider);

3.10 probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or breach any security or authentication measures; or

3.11 use the Service in any way that could damage our reputation or that of "Actually AI", or that places an unreasonable load on our systems.

4. Fair use of AI generation

4.1 The Service relies on a third-party AI provider that we pay for per use. To keep the Service sustainable and fair for everyone, we may apply reasonable fair-use limits on the volume and rate of AI generation per account.

4.2 We may throttle, pause, or suspend AI generation for an account that exceeds these limits or that uses the feature in a way inconsistent with ordinary personal gameplay. [SOLICITOR / OWNER TO CONFIRM whether specific numeric fair-use limits should be stated here or kept flexible.]

5. Consequences of breach

5.1 If you breach this AUP, we may take any action we consider appropriate, including:

5.2 Where a breach is serious, or where required to protect the Service, our providers, or other users, we may suspend or terminate access without prior notice.

5.3 If we terminate your account for a serious breach, you will not be entitled to a refund of fees already paid, except where required by law (see the Refund and Cancellation Policy).

5.4 We may report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities and cooperate with any investigation.

6. Reporting misuse
